"These are
already spoken for...?" SPOILER
Okay, I've been watching the past couple of days waiting for
someone to bring this up. When Xena finished rescuing the virgin at
the beginning of the show this weekend, the virgin assumes Xena is a
supreme being (Who would dare argue that?) and says something like,
"Take me to thy bosom." Xena responds to this by pushing her to arms
length and saying, "These are already spoken for." Even my shipper
roommate (it's her biggest flaw...) just shook her head. I mean, who
else would have laid claim to "them" besides Gabrielle? Try as I
may, I cannot see how else that could be interpreted. Sounded like
subtext delivered with a 2 X 4 to me. Seems to me like the subtext
is getting stronger as we near (deep breath) the end. Has anyone
else noticed this or is it just wishful thinking on my
part?

Season Six ROCs with subtext. Lets just hope they don't drop it in
the end. And I replayed the "these" are spoken for many times. Did
you get the satisfied smirk on Xena's face as she says that,
hehheeeee I just had to laugh.

It was like they were on a date. Xena had it all planned, the wine,
the dribble cup and the poem all ready to give Gabby.
I hope they
have another date.

Season 6 is FULL of subtext. This is the strongest season ever.
They even finally mentioned it it "You are there". It's
everywhere...Gabrielle wants to be buried beside Xena and in the
Norse trilogy and WFC, X+G find each other even though its a
different timeline. The strong theme this year is that they were
meant to be together and that no matter what happens, they always
find each other and don't feel complete until they do. Aww....
