Mandatory team meetings on Thursday, Sep 4, or Sunday, Sep 7.
By invitation or tryout. Fees include free open workouts. See team handbooks for all of the details and policies. There are additional fees required in order to compete, but competing is not necessary. Discounts: In addition to any family
discounts, receive a 10% discount when paying tuition for 4+ months at
once.
In order to accommodate the a larger range of needs and commitment levels than other gyms, UMDGC offers many different team programs:
- Boys
- Preteam: See Developmental Classes for information for boys preteam.
- Competitive Team: Levels 5 to elite. This is the typical team program found at other competitive teams requiring year-round commitment. A monthly tuition permits unlimited attendance to workouts and no limitations for meet participation.
- Recreational Team: Level s 5 & 6. A less intense alternative for lower level team gymnasts (boys level 5-6 and girls level 4-5). Allows the gymnast to do other activities, but still compete in up to 3 regular season meets. Fee purchases a 10-workout pass allowing them to workout with the competitive team.
- Teen Team: Level 7+ or ages 13-18. This team program allows teens and upper level gymnasts to continue gymnastics even if they cannot commit full-time. Workouts focus on skill maintenance and preparing to compete in a limited number of competitions. Gymnasts will compete level 7+ USAG.
- Girls
- Girls Preteam: An intense introduction to team designed for level 3 gymnasts. This program emphasizes strength, flexibility, proper form, execution, and technique.
- Competitive Team: Level 4 to 8. This is the typical team program found at other competitive teams requiring year-round commitment. A monthly tuition permits unlimited attendance to workouts and no limitations for meet participation.
- Recreational Team: Level 4 & 5. A less intense alternative for lower level team gymnasts. Allows the gymnast to do other activities, but still compete in up to 3 regular season meets. Fee purchases a 10-workout pass allowing them to workout with the competitive team.

Workouts focus on skill maintenance and preparing to compete in a limited number of competitions. Male gymnasts compete level 7+ USAG; females compete PA’s USAG prep optional program.
