Hi! I'm Gillian McHale.

I started writing for fun when I was 3 years old, and by age 7, decided my goal was to write a REAL book. My parents took me seriously and since I was being homeschooled by my mother, Nancy, we both had to learn by doing. By age 9, my first book, The First Day was published.

Since becoming published, I have continued writing and inspiring others through school presentations. Since my mother was my teacher, she also shares her experiences with workshops for teachers.

My website is designed to be a resource for young writers and illustrators. We are all born story tellers, the difficult part is using that raw ability to your advantage. To improve your writing, and find out ways to get it in print, this is the place for you!
