3. Major General William Selby² Harney (Major Thomas (N.m.n.)¹) (#120) was born in Haysboro, Tennessee August 27, 1800. Individual flags: Civil. Major died May 9, 1889 in Orlando, Florida, at 88 years of age. His body was interred October 30, 1889 in Arlington Natl, Lot 117-Off.Sect.

He married twice. He married Mary (N.m.n.) Mullanphy Harney in St. Louis City, Missouri, 1833. (Mary (N.m.n.) Mullanphy Harney is #121.) Mary died August 1861 in Paris, France. He married Mary E. Cromwell St. Cyr Harney in St. Louis City, Missouri, November 12, 1884. (Mary E. Cromwell St. Cyr Harney is #122.) Mary was born in Frederick Cty., Maryland January 24, 1826. Mary was the daughter of Richard (N.m.n.) Cromwell and Caraline (N.m.n.) Boone Cromwell. Mary died October 22, 1907 at 81 years of age. Mary's occupation: Nurse.

Major's occupation: Maj.Gen. US Army. Major became the father of Ada (N.m.n.) Stuart Harney Roman circa 1858.

Major General William Selby Harney and Sarah (N.m.n.) Ashton Stuart had the following child:

4 i. Ada (N.m.n.) Stuart³ Harney Roman⁽¹¹³⁹⁾ (#113) was born circa 1858. Ada died circa 1890.⁽¹¹⁴⁰⁾ She married Anton (N.m.n.) Roman. (Anton (N.m.n.) Roman is #111.) Anton was born in Missouri January 1866.⁽¹¹⁴¹⁾ Anton⁽¹¹⁴²⁾ was the son of Anton (N.m.n.) Roman and Margaret (N.m.n.) Dietrich Roman. Anton died 1936 at 70 years of age. Anton's occupation: Farmer. At 24 years of age Anton became the father of Edward (N.m.n.) Roman in Missouri, November 1890.⁽¹¹⁴³⁾ At 27 years of age Anton became the father of Mary Frances Roman Rutledge in East St. Louis, Illinois, December 23, 1893. (See Anton (N.m.n.) At 32 years of age Ada became the mother of Edward (N.m.n.) Roman in Missouri, November 1890.⁽¹¹⁴⁴⁾ At 35 years of age Ada became the mother of Mary Frances Roman Rutledge in East St. Louis, Illinois, December 23, 1893.
