1. Judge Allison (N.m.n.)1 Speir(4134) (#153) was born in Georgia 1804.

He married Mary (N.m.n.) (N.l.n.) Speir. (Mary (N.m.n.) (N.l.n.) Speir is #154.) Mary was born in Georgia 1807. Mary became the mother of John Robert Speir in Georgia, circa 1835. At 30 years of age Mary became the mother of Benjamin F.h. Speir in Georgia, 1837. At 33 years of age Mary became the mother of James H. Speir in Georgia, 1840. At 34 years of age Mary became the mother of Martin H. Speir in Georgia, 1841. At 36 years of age Mary became the mother of Allison (N.m.n.) Speir in Georgia, 1843. At 38 years of age Mary became the mother of Jackson P. Speir in Georgia, 1845.

Judge became the father of John Robert Speir in Georgia, circa 1835. At 33 years of age Judge became the father of Benjamin F.h. Speir in Georgia, 1837. At 36 years of age Judge became the father of James H. Speir in Georgia, 1840. At 37 years of age Judge became the father of Martin H. Speir in Georgia, 1841. At 39 years of age Judge became the father of Allison (N.m.n.) Speir in Georgia, 1843. At 41 years of age Judge became the father of Jackson P. Speir in Georgia, 1845. According to "History of Pike County, Georgia, 1822-1932" by Lizzie R. Mitchell: Page 40: "In the October election 1842 Allen W. Pryor was made senator and John N. Mangham, Allison Speer, and Judge Hartford Green, representatives"

Allison Speer Mr. Speer lived in the western part of the county. He was a farmer and had been one of the judges of the Inferior Court. He was a strong partisan, taking an active part in political questions, and was very popular with his friends. He was representative three times. He moved later to Fayette County. 1843: In the October election 1843 Allen W. Pryor was elected senator, Chas. McDowell, Allison Speer, and Thomas C. Trice, representatives. Page 112: Allison Speir is in a list of Pike's Inferior Court judges, who held places five at a time and term of office was four years. Some on the list were for full terms, some for unexpired terms. Tim extends from 1823 to 1868 when this court was abolished. Inferior courts were created in 1798 and were responsible for probate matters until 1852, civil matters, and misdemeanor type civil and criminal cases.
