Storm Updates

OCT 16, 2004 UPDATE -----
It brings us infinite delight to
pass along the
report that Tully will be back next season. Apparently, there were
retirement rumors circulating. We're not really in any loops, let alone
"the" loop, so we did not know that retirement talk was in the
air. We're just glad that Tully intends to return to our fair city to
defend her (our?) title in 2005.

OCT 12, 2004 UPDATE ------
We are humbled to be able to
announce that Tully Bevilaqua is a WNBA Champion. Her Seattle
Storm have just won
the WNBA Finals, and your humble Unofficial Tully Bevilaqua Fan Club
officers were honored to be in attendance (with eight other loyal Tully
fans). Tully had 3 rebounds, 3 points, 2 steals, and at least 2 dives
onto the floor for loose balls. It was a tremendous team effort, and
we're so very proud of her Seattle Storm. Make that Our Seattle Storm.
The city of Seattle rose up and embraced our Storm by selling out Key
Arena (17,000+) for both of the home games in the Finals. Hooray for
Tully!!!! Hooray for the Storm!!! Hoooooorrraaayyy!
------
SEPT 27, 2004 RETROSPECTIVE ------One
special highlight from the WNBA playoffs still merits mention on this
page. A bad-luck injury
to Sue Bird (who's now back and full of beans!) and early fouls for WNBA
Finals MVP Betty Lennox had
Tully running the offense and leading the charge for 27 mins in a
critical game (see
full story) on Sept 27. Since playoffs count double, we believe it
was the best game of Tully's Storm career. And the crowd was
positively Tully-crazy. Now everybody goes crazy for Tully, as well they
should.
