The Art of Underwater Photography
Imagine what is involved in taking a picture of a fish, eel, or turtle in open water: First of all, there is water in between the lense and the fish - water that is in motion, full of sediment, bubbles, etc. The fish, of course, is also in motion, and so are you, if there is a current. To follow the fish takes an intuitive knowledge of their behavior. And to fight the current you are kicking your fins, all the while trying to hold the camera steady and adjust the shot, just before you CLICK!
