2002 (Freshman at Wyoming) Cross Country -- Matthew, primarialy a middle
distance runner, was called upon to run Cross Country for Wyoming. He
finished 41st at the Mountain West Conference Meet and 106th at the NCAA
Regional Meet earning his first varsity letter. Indoor Track and Field
-- Matthew ran Wyomings fasted mile and PRed in the process (4:19.49).
Outdoor Track -- Redshirt. High School: Matthew is a two-time State Champion and six-time all state selection. He holds three School Records; 1600m (4:20.32), 4x800m relay (7:57.60), and the Distance Medley Relay (10:31.37). Matthew was awarded the Tim Liar MVP Track award his senior year. 2001: Two time individual state champion; 1600 (4:20.36) and in the 800m. All state 6th place finish in Cross Country. Member of the Florida Relays high school division winning DMR team. 2000: Two-time all state selection; 4x800 (2nd), and 3200m (5th). 1999: All state 4x800m relay team (2nd).
