Editor's notes:

Indoor track has begun!

Mile - was a good duel between Matthew Hudson and Brian Harnisch.  In the end it was Matthew. Brian took the lead in the first turn.  Matthew was in the rear on the first lap, but went from last to second on the front straight at the end of the first lap.  It was Brian, Matthew and Arte for the first five laps.  As they came upon the half way point Matthew lost a couple of steps to Brian and Arte made a move to pass Matthew at the beginning of lap six.  When Matthew felt Arte he surged to hold off Arte and used the momentum to pass Brian on the curve.  Brian stayed close for the next three laps but Matthew never relinquished the lead.  Matthew managed a small gap on the ninth lap and had a visible kick on the last lap. Brian had nothing for him.

Mile splits (160m):

1 - 27.6 (first lap is 169.3 meters)
2 - 27.8
3 - 26.9
4 - 26.5
5 - 26.9
6 - 27.4
7 - 26.6
8 - 27.3
9 - 26.8
10 - 25.3

800 - Jeremiah Johnson won the 800 by less than a second over Jeremy Thompson, 2:00.63 to 2:01.35.  Jeremiah went out slow (61) and Jeremy was right behind for four laps.  On the last lap, Jeremiah out-kicked Jeremy.

800 splits (160m laps):

1 - 23.1
2 - 25.3
400m - 1:01.4
3 - 25.8
4 - 23.9
5 - 22.4

Sprints - Mervin Swaby easily won the 55 (6.43).  Quincy Howe tied for second (6.58) with Robert Harris.  And Blake Johnson, a freshman, ran 6.86.

Jumps - Quincy Howe has not jumped yet this season because of a sore ankle, but he still won the tripple jump at 49-8.  Swaby looked good in the Long Jump winning at 24-11.  Tom Hall (FR) won the high jump (6-4) over Zowada (6-2).
