Senior John Griffith’s distance of 191’ 10” in the hammer throw is a season best mark for the Cowboys, as well as a personal record for the Sheridan, Wyo. native. Freshman Blake Jackson jumped to a measure of 47’ 9” to take the top spot in the triple jump.
Three Cowgirls took first place in their respective events. Junior Amber Perryman notched first place honors in the long jump with a mark of 16’ 8”. Sophomore Courtney Schlegel leaped her way to the top spot in the triple jump with a distance of 36’ 11”. Sophomore Melissa Vallejos won the hammer throw with her mark of 165’ 10”.
