This is the sculpture I submitted as an audition piece in the second phase of my interview process for a job at Will Vinton Studios. Vintons' was looking for sculptor/animators who could convey a sense of character and personality through their work. At the time (1987) the company was still small enough that Will Vinton was still involved in the the interview process for all new employees. It turned out he was a "Doors" fan and really liked the sculpture.
