After airbrushing the last of the paint on this character, I applied a coating of Armor All. This not only gives it a bit of a sheen, but protects the latex from deteriorating. I've got some masks that are over fifteen years old and they are still in good shape. But I've seen other latex masks that have actually gotten dry and crumbly after just a couple of years exposure to to much sun.
