I'm Vince Backeberg, a 3D animator/designer. My background includes, sculpture, make-up effects, traditional clay and stop motion animation, as well as computer (CGI) animation. I worked for four years at Will Vinton Productions as a clay animator (claymator),prop builder and mold maker. While at Vinton's, I animated on two network television specials, (one of which won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated program) many award winning commercials (including some featuring dancing Raisins), seven clay cartoons for the Disney Channel's "Adventures in Wonderland", and Vinton Studio's very first use of CGI in a commercial for Nabisco's "Chips Ahoy!: In the Bag" spots.

I've also worked on variety of 3D game  projects for COMPUTOONS, Dynamix, Sierra, NIKE and 3DO.

Recently I've animated with Macromedia's FLASH on a number of educational 'web vignettes'(cartoons) for Flying Rhinoceros called BoomToons™.  

The most recent BoomToon™  I worked on, was one created for AOL starring the Horned Avenger™ and BLT™ in a lesson about drawing with shapes. It clocks in at just under six minutes.  If you you have AOL Broadband, check it out.

Another BoomToon™  is at the official United States Olympic Team site for kids.  It is a cartoon entitled "Teamwork", a story featuring a slug, a raccoon and a bear, illustrating how with a little teamwork, anything can be accomplished.
