 Non Computer Work

My interest in film and animation goes back many years. My first real exposure to stop motion animation was Ray Harryhausen's "Jason and the Argonauts". His films were the main inspiration to pursuing a career in animation. I did all the typical things most 3-dimensional animators do. Taking charge of the family's Super 8mm camera to animate clay, models, even the old G.I. Joe's. (in fact I found out that many of the animators working at Vinton's started animating using modified Joe's)That interest expanded to other aspects of film, including makeup effects, photography, and video production.

In 1987 I started work as an animator at Will Vinton Productions. I worked on many commercials and specials, which included the California Raisin spots, "The Claymation Christmas Special" (which won an Emmy), and "Meet the Raisin's".   Since then I have worked on projects for a variety of companies including COMPUTOONS, Sierra, Dynamix, 3DO, Flying Rhinoceros and others.

Here is a sampling of my non- computer work. Some of it goes back to the mid 1980's when I was doing a lot of sculpting and make-up effects.
