from the ancient archives...

Here is one of the first 'animation models' I put together. And I use the term "animation model" loosely. Not much to look at today, but it seemed pretty neat at the time. If I remember correctly I was about fourteen years old when I took an old large scale G.I. Joe action figure and used a malleable wax to sculpt him into the Ymir from Ray Harryhausen's "20 Million Miles to Earth". I also took and old Joe and converted him into a Cyclops from "7th Voyage of Sinbad" but neither it nor any pictures survive. Many of the other animators at Will Vinton's and other dimensional animation studios did exactly the same thing.
