Intro:

Since you're actually reading this, you must be really bored, or you must be Canadian who likes to visit my site frequently to see if there is anything new. Thanks for visiting! (I love you guys) I also know that no matter how crappy this site is, you always seem to keep coming back :P Anyhow, this page will be about me. See the big purple title? Nicknames:

I guess I'll start off with nicknames. Soph, Soaps, Soapy are the names used most by my friends. I think it all started with Soapymoose which I picked up in elementary school which some people still use. :P Some other ones are Sone, Shortie, Shortstuff.. that's all I can think of that people still use nowadays. Another nickname I always used online was Laurana, because I'm a Dragonlance nut and I liked Laurana the best because she had pointy ears. (Silvara is a close second) Interesting tidbit, while trying to find a domain name for me, soapy, laurana and silvara.com were all taken. The first two being porn sites, and the last one is some heavy metal band in the Bay Area. How annoying. It just shows how much crap is floating around online. Oh in case you were wondering why I went with vaelin.com, vaelin is Alex's online name and he had rented the domain so I'm just borrowing it from him ;)

Personality:

I don't have one...hehe. Ok, I'll write something. I can be silly, nice, mean, funny, not funny.. I have a split personality.. haha! Ok no I don't. Really. Alex knows I can be incredibly moody. Hehehe.

Hobbies:

  • Listening to music (soundtracks, instrumental, classical, techno)
  • Sleeping
  • Playing video games (mostly Final Fantasy, RPGs or Super Mario stuff)
  • Reading (Dragonlance)
  • Movies (Disney, chick flicks :D, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings)
  • Arts and Crafts (cross stitching, drawing, writing, miniature painting, making websites, none of which keep my attention for very long but it's fun for awhile)
  • Shopping! I want a shopping spree! Imagine shopping without worrying about the price tag?!
  • I like snowboarding, it's not really a hobby because I've only gone a few times and I suck at it. No hills nearby :( I will go as much as I can, if it snows in Ottawa during Christmas

Foods:

Despite what people may think, I DO eat. :P I love food. I go through periods of the month where I eat a lot and then I don't. I think its PMS.

Foods I like:

  • Poutine (fries, cheese and gravy *drool*) It's a Canadian thing eh?
  • Beaver tails (Killaloe Sunrise, started in Ottawa! Apparently found in Disneyworld)
  • Nestea iced tea (lemon flavoured, can't have any other) and that stuff Jenny makes for me which makes me act weird. Mmm.. sugar.
  • Sushi (raw salmon mostly, starting to like albacore)
  • Lobster (Todai.. lobster heaven)
  • Anything home-made (I don't like eating out, I get picky when I do)
Foods I don't like and won't eat unless you want me to throw up:
  • Warm milk or warm apple juice (instant gag reflex)
  • Bananas (similar effect)
  • Whatever sashimi I had that was crunchy
  • Spicy foods (I won't throw up, but if its too spicy for me I can't swallow it)
  • Anything carbonated (I still like coke and stuff but since I can't burp it makes me sick)
  • Alcohol (instant hangover, not pretty)

Things I like:

  • Laughing at dumb things with my sister or friends until I can't breathe
  • Spa parties
  • Taking afternoon naps with Alex
  • Visiting beautiful places (ie: Hawai'i!)
  • Hawai'i
  • Learning things that aren't school related
  • Feeling productive and doing productive things (which is rare)
  • My pj's
  • Hawai'i
  • All my stuffed animals
  • Being in a good mood, especially with a good hair day (good hair day never seems to happen much)
  • Singing with my sister (she's the only person I don't feel stupid in front of because...I think she's stupider ;)

  • I like being able to understand and sort of speak 4 languages
  • Spending time with my friends and family
  • When people sign my guestbook. *hint hint* :D

Pet Peeves:

  • My sister when she's mad
  • My brother when he's mad
  • My whole family when they're mad :P (especially at me :( *sniff*)
  • "The fat cow" (no names needed)
  • Close minded people in general, cliques
  • People who think they're all that when they're not
  • SUV's, Bay Area drivers and the traffic they cause with their stupid SUV's
  • No free health care
  • I -HATE- telemarketers and door to door salespeople! They're so pushy here! NO means NO!

  • Having a cloud of cigarette smoke (or other types of smoke) around my head
  • Rice rockets and the people in them who think they got mad skillz
  • Mainstream media, news, crap that comes with cable tv (I only like Friends, ER, Will & Grace and Good Morning Miami. Obviously Thursday TV night :)
Last thoughts:

There are some things I chopped from my old website like the surveys about people. I figure since there is private info on there, I'm going to keep it out of the public eye until I can get parts of this website password protected. (Not going to happen unless I host this myself) So anyways, this is it about moi. Probably won't be edited until I revamp to version 3.0. Hehehe.
