Steves' provides the low down on budget travel, accommodations and site seeing. Steves' covers the major attractions, as well as the hidden wonders of each country.    I like this guide book because it combines accommodations, attractions, connections and restaurants all in one convenient, pocket sized book that is easy to carry around. Steves' also gives talks about the most economical accommodations, and since he visits once a year, he has current prices, as well as includes his own views on the accommodations. This book is useful if you will be traveling through several European countries.
Rick Steve's Best of Eastern Europe	Above guide book but for Eastern Europe
Europe 101	Despite what this may look like, I do not have a secrete alliance with Rick Steves' to push his book. I am recommending this book because it gives you working knowledge of European art and history to make the sites more enjoyable. I know going through the British Museum or art Galleries of Florence that they are much more enjoyable when you know what you are looking at. The same holds true for the cathedrals of Europe. When you know the history behind them, you truly know what is so magnificent about them. I guess its out of print but I like it.

Steves uses his years as a professional traveler to tell fellow travelers the best sites to see, including the hidden, back door wonders, of these wonderful countries. Steves provides helpful tips and and history about getting around and the way to budget time and money visiting these European countries. I like this guide book because it combines accommodations, attractions, connections and restaurants all in one convenient, pocket sized book that is easy to carry around.
Rick Steves' Paris 04	Rick Steves' does Paris the justice it deserves providing a complete guidebook full of history, sites and even tours for this marvelous French city. From budget hotels to the hidden, out of the way marvel, this is the complete Paris guidebook.
Rick Steves' Germany, Austria, and Switzerland 2003	Rick Steves lives up to his normally high standards with this compact, easy to use guide book. Steves provides up to date historical information about the major sites in these three countries. Steves lists provides detailed information about all of the "Don't Miss" cites as well as scenic, attractive, lesser known cities that you will be glad you visited. Steves also provides a list of good, budget accommodations and highly recommended restaurants. Lastly Steves provides helpful hints as to how long you should stay in a city, what order to see the cities in and other useful information for travelers. I like Steves' guide books not only for their helpfulness and detailed information, but also for the fact that they are so compact they are easy to carry around.

Rick Steve's Italy 2004	All the fabled attractions of Italy in this pocket sized guide book. Rick Steves' provides you with a list of the best and cheapest places to stay including up to date prices, addresses and phone numbers. He also provides a good synopsis of what the worth while sites are as well as a quick history of the sites. The book also provides a list of recommended restaurants and connections in between cities.
Rick Steves' Rome	City guide by Rick Steves for this terrific city. Includes hotel listing, site ratings and self guided tours the major sites.
Rick Steves' Florence	There are cities then there is Florence. This city is a great place to visit and an terrific home base for exploring central Italy. This guide includes sites in the city, hotel listings and most importantly, tours of the major sites.
