Side note:
    I met a pair of people staying at the Bella Vista. Adrian and her boyfriend Mark. Like me, they caught a boat from Brendisi. This boat had a large number of recent college graduates who spent the night giving tribute to Dionysus. Needless to say, they were quite loud in this tribute. When Adrian and Mark discovered that this group was headed for the "Pink Palace" they made a point of avoiding it.
    On my second trip, the boat I took docked on the Greek mainland at Igoumenitsa and I had to take the local car ferry to Corfu. AS I was running to catch the boat I was stopped by a pair of Greeks "posing" as guests of the pink palace. They gave me a brochure that expounded about the parties, the bars and the music of the pink palace. If I wanted that I would have stayed in San Francisco. I do not travel to party. So I decided it was wise to skip it.
