This year's Oyster Run appeared to an unqualified success for "Washington's Sturgis." Some odd 19 VERMIN rose through an early morning fog and assembled at VERMIN World HQ. We continued on to Anacortes in unruly mob fashion, no precision formations or even any pretense of riding together as a group this time. Fortunately, the local troopers were napping or otherwise preoccupied. Some of the first arrivals did an excellent job of securing curbside parking at the top of the Anacortes main drag and nearly all members in attendance were able to take advantage of this prime Anacortes real estate.
I haven't heard any numbers thrown out yet but the crowd appeared to be as large as last year's which was estimated at 15,000.
