Re-acquainted by internet culinary arts and recipes sharing, finding Keo (Joe) has really renewed Hawaiiana for me. From same school days, alma mater and favorite stops back in Honolulu, this has indeed been homecoming for me. AND, to see that Keo has lived his heritage makes me quite the proud Hawaiian from Moiliili! College and military careers send us to all points. Funny, Joe's at Washington and I've been in Georgia! Oh yes, and I REALLY miss paddling down the Ala Wai, and show-off muscle at Magic Island and Kuhio Beach! Uncle Joe and his family catered my wedding reception. The menu was somewhat ecclectic since it encompassed German, Hawaiian, and Filipino food. The spread was stupendous. They did such a wonderful job and everyone was extremely happy with all the food. He was great to work with and I couldn't recommend a better person to cater any event for you and/or your friends. The book will feature favorite recipes the family have used over the years in their home. Nah. No need to buy. You family, right?
