The Annunciation
Many great artists have painted the scene where the angel Gabriel brings the message
to the virgin Mary that she would conceive and bear the long-awaited Messiah, the Son of
God. Here are my favorites.

The above is by the greatest of the Baroque painters, Peter Paul
Rubens.
And here is one by one of my favorite Baroque artists, El Greco.
He did many others, but this is my favorite of his.
