| | CONDITION OF SALE: PET - This kitten/cat is purchased as a pet and MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. Written confirmation of this must be sent to Kristin Kight by the kitten’s 7th month of age. Upon receipt of such confirmation, the cat’s registration with The Cat Fancier’s Association will be supplied to the purchaser. The kitten or cat is not to be used for showing unless an additional agreement is made for this purpose
SHOW - A show quality kitten (if agreement is made between the breeder and purchaser) may be shown in a cat fancy sponsored show such as the Cat Fancy Association (CFA). If the kitten is exhibiting potential for grand premiership it is expected that the purchaser will attempt to show the kitten in premiership once it becomes an adult to obtain Grand Premiership status.
- When a show quality kitten is being shown, the purchaser agrees to maintain membership in the Tonkinese Breed Association (TBA) during the time the kitten/cat is being shown. The Purchaser also agrees to uphold and abide by the policies of that association
At the time of sale this kitten/cat is guaranteed to be in good health and has had the vaccinations and health care indicated in this contract. Kittens at Velvetsighs are vaccinated with Fort Dodge Fel-O-Vax IV as an aid in the prevention and management of disease caused by feline rhinotracheitis, calici, and panleukopenia viruses. At 12 & 16 weeks of age. HEALTH GUARANTEE: Purchaser is receiving a healthy kitten/cat free of internal and external parasites and life-threatening congenital defects. Purchaser must have his/her veterinarian inspect the kitten/cat within three (3) business days of purchase. If any sign of illness is found, the purchaser must contact Kristin Kight immediately at the email address listed above. If contact is not made within three (3) business days, it will be assumed the kitten/cat has been found to be in good health by a licensed veterinarian. If the kitten/cat is found to be ill, a written statement must be provided by the attending veterinarians to the health problem of the kitten/cat. PURCHASER’S OPTION: If the kitten is returned, the purchaser will be responsible for all veterinarian bills he/she has acquired prior to the return. The breeder will not warrant or be held responsible for any vaccinations, or medications given to the kitten/cat other than those given by the breeder. The breeder will not be held financially responsible for any vaccinations given by the purchaser’s veterinarian. If the breeder does not have a currently available kitten/cat for exchange, a pet quality kitten will be reserved from the next available litter. Exceptions to this option include instances where the cat/kitten has had a reaction to the Feline Leukemia or Feline Infectious Peritonitis vaccinations. The former is controversial, and the latter is not recommended by this breeder at all. This breeder will not assume any responsibility for the health of the cat/kitten if the animal has been given either Feline Leukemia or Feline Infectious Peritonitis vaccinations vaccine. We will, however, take back any kitten or cat born here at any time in their lives.
It is further understood and agreed that no warranty or representation has been made with respect to this kitten/cat except as set forth in writing in this agreement. HEALTH CARE: Kittens at Velvetsighs are NOT tested for Feline Leukemia or Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Older cats in our home are vaccinated for Feline Leukemia but not FIP. All felines in our home are healthy, kept indoors, not shown, and we maintain a closed cattery (no outside cats coming in for breeding etc.) Your kitten is eating; Max Cat dry food and Wellness canned kitten formula.
