Permanent Moored Marks on the Gulf
Near Venice

07.006'N, 82o 30.344W,
~2nm west of N Jetty Park Beach. It is a yellow spar buoy, 9"
diam. ~ 3' high. I hope that
this will
become the center of a circular compass rose array, hence the
name. The letter "C" is painted on it. Click

"MM" 27o 03.665N,
082o 30.078W, ~ 3 nm off Casperson Beach. It is a
yellow discus buoy with a 4' tower owned by Mote
Marine Observatory that is used to detect red tide.
