Smile, you         are three!

After three years and almost 49,000 miles, how is it going?  Very well.  The Vibe got its first wax job this year!  A few things have changed over the years – fluids, filters, a headlight switch, a tire.  Everything else is original, or modified by choice.  The wimpy bits (battery, clutch, A/C) are still wimpy but haven’t changed.

The tire was replaced after my son learned about going around or over sharp rocks, not hitting them with the sidewall.  The headlight switch was replaced in the first year under warranty and seemed to cure the cold night dead battery issue, a mystery unique to older Vibes.  A new set of tires is due soon, but the Dunlop 17’s held up pretty well.  (I should point out that maybe 5000 of those miles were on my set of winter tires and wheels.)  My wife is shopping for a new car, and a base Vibe is one of the possibilities.
