GUIDELINES
FOR THE NURSERY
Because of the "Safe Sanctuaries" policies that are being
implemented by the United Methodist Churches, the Shoals
Emmaus Cluster has adopted these guidelines to comply with
those policies.
As guests in our host churches, we will abide by these
guidelines for the sake of their policies, and for the
safety of our children.
Only children ages 10 and under are allowed to stay in the
Shoals Emmaus Cluster Nursery.
If children older than 10 are brought to the meeting, they
must have one parent remain with them during the worship
service in an area separate from the nursery. Anyone who
has not attended on Emmaus weekend* does not attend Cluster
meetings.
Children will not be allowed to wander around the church
buildings unattended during Emmaus meetings.
Parents must be prepared to sign their children into and
out of the nursery.
There will be a minimum of two nursery workers for every
meeting.
Hours for the nursery workers will be minimally 5:30 • 8:30
p.m.
Thank you for your spirit of cooperation and charity in
complying with these guidelines.
*(The term "Emmaus weekend" includes similar expressions of
this three-day experience; e.g. Cursillo, Kairos. Tres
Dias; Chrysalis; etc.)
