Eddy Moore update
The M.O.R.E. Reunion Group decided to have their Monday night meeting at Eddy's Moore's house. Martha Miller was caring for Eddy when we arrived, but we let her take a break so we could get down to the men's stuff. Eddy says the hernia was worse than expected and the surgery took longer than anticipated, but the pain is going away and he is beginning to feel better. After homemade soup, cornbread, cookies and chocolate cake, we settled down to visit for a while. He occasionally had to shift in his recliner, which seemed difficult and a little painful, but he otherwise was in good spirits and enjoyed the visit. He goes back in a couple of days to have the stitches removed, and hopes to be able to get around after that. However, that may be a little too aggressive. He has had several calls and cards from members of the Emmaus Community, and each one is a delight for him. He will need someone to stay with him for a while after the stitches come out. If you can help, or just want to visit, give Eddy at call @ 767-6067 or send him a card to 1716 Sherrod Ave, Florence AL 35630. May God bless you as you minister to Eddy!

Eddie Moore

Pasted Graphic

Eddie Moore will have hernia surgery on Friday morning at ECM.  He needs to have someone stay with him now and after the surgery.  Martha Miller has been with him for 3 days now.  She thinks that he needs a male to stay with him after the surgery to help with all of his needs.  Eddie also needs to have meals brought in as he will not be able to care for himself for at least a week. Martha has been doing the meals also.  If you can help Eddie in any way please call him 256-767-6067   He would love to hear form you.  He is able to do his own scheduling of helpers and food right now.

Please remember Eddie in your prayers.

Annie
Annie is 4 weeks old. Her heart valves were reversed. Her hand got burned from an iv. Please pray for her and her family
Anne Roy

Hi everyone. Today has not been a good day for Annie. She had a lot of fluid built up this morning, which lead to having another chest tube put in. She has dumped about 250 ml of fluid since 10:30 this morning. I am frustrated, John is frustrated, the doctors are frustrated... We're not back to square one, but this is definitely a big step back. I don't really know what will happen from here. She may have to go back to surgery for a lymphatic duct ligation. Let's pray it doesn't come to that.

As for her hand, it doesn't look like she'll be having surgery on it this week like we first thought. After talking to the plastic surgeon yesterday, he wants to wait until her hand has healed as much as it can heal before doing surgery. This could take weeks, but it won't keep us from being able to go home.

Lilly Grace is starting to grow tired of being shuffled around and not having everyone at home together. She knows that I'm in Tennessee with Annie because she's sick, and she knows that Emily is at Mimi's house. At least Lilly Grace is able to be at her own house while John is there (not that I don't appreciate everyone who has let her stay at their house). Depending on what happens with
Annie and a possible surgery, I think I need to make a trip home to spend time with LG and Emily.

Please continue to pray for us. Today, we sort of felt like we got punched in the gut. It's been tough.

Thanks,
Leigh

Many of you already knew this, but somehow it got past me. Bill Brown has leukemia. Thelma Brown, Bill's wife, is being treated for breast cancer. She has completed her chemo, and is about half way through her radiation treatments. If you have not already done so, please add Bill and Thelma to your prayer list.
