Limestone Correctional Facility Kairos #45
Limestone Correctional Facility Kairos #45 wil be March 27-30, 2008. One of the most powerful parts of the weekend is when the inmates see the 72 hour prayer vigil and realize how many people have actually taken the time to pray for them. The prayer vigil is broken into 30 minute slots starting Thursday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. and going through Sunday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m. If you would be willing to take a 30 minute slot (or 2, or 3) and pray for this walk, please send Debbie Tuten a note so your first name can be added to the poster that the inmates will see. You can send a note to deb@fumcsheffield.com.

Carla Crosslin
As many of you know, Carla Gillespie Crosslin of Moulton battled ovarian cancer a couple of years ago. Tuesday a week ago, we learned that she has breast cancer. Since that time, other test results have come in, and the marker test for ovarian cancer – though her ovaries were removed - is now showing 108-109 as opposed to a norm of 20 or below. She is scheduling a radical mastectomy, with the possibility of simultaneous exploratory abdominal surgery. As if this were not enough, her mother passed away last month, and a week or so ago, her husband learned that he had lost his job. Please lift them up in urgent prayer – and if you will, let’s shower Carla with notes and cards at129 Woodland Terrace, Moulton, AL 35650.

Larry Stephenson
Please pray for one of my DHR coworkers, Larry Stephenson. Larry began to have internal bleeding about a week ago. It appears to stem from a surgery he had several years ago. Dr. Bailey did a procedure this morning to try to stop the bleeding but it was unsuccessful. He will perform more invasive surgery tomorrow morning (Friday.) Larry, Teresa and their family would appreciate your prayers during this time of crisis.
God bless,
Sandra

Eddie Moore
URGENT! PLEASE PITCH IN AND HELP OUT! EDDIE NEEDS HIS COMMUNITY'S SUPPORT! (Vic)

Today is Eddie's Birthday He has let it be known that he will be celebrating all week and he would love to have a visit from everyone and food!!!

Eddie went and had his staples out today and then had to have an adjustment because of bad back spasms. He fell this morning before going to the doctor. Please keep him in your prayers.

Martha Miller has been with Eddie for almost 3 weeks. She will have to leave on Wednesday morning and will not be able to help Eddie any more. She has a pregnant daughter-in-law that needs her now. If you or any one you know can help Eddie out please give Eddie a call. He will need food, help with the dog and also someone to stay some at his home. He can tell you what his
needs are.

Please remember Eddie and Martha in your prayers. Martha has hurt her back while staying with Eddie. She has truly been the hands and feet of Jesus these last few weeks.

I know that there are conflicting reports about Eddie's needs but I talk to Martha at least twice a day and these reports they I give are from Martha herself. She knows Eddie needs help and exactly what he needs if you want to talk to her. 256-394-7893

Paige, Bailey, and Parker
Connie has asked for your continued prayers for protection for Paige, Bailey, and Parker.  Seems no divorce papers have been prepared to be signed.  Divorce court was in August.  Paige can't find out anything from her attorneys.  Derrick contunues to harrass Paige.  A blessing:  Paige is sub-teaching full-time now.  She isn't making a lot of money, but the job protects her from Derrick's continuous text messages and phone calls.

Laura Beck Kitchens
We need to keep praying for Laura.

Ephiphany Weekend at Chalkville Juvenile Detention Center
I got this message from a girl who was at my table at the last Walk I worked. Let me know if you want to be added or you can send her a note. Her email is
matt_daily@otelco.net

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am writing this email in hopes for prayers.  As most of you know, I have a fervent passion for children.  ALL CHILDREN.  Having said this, I will be working an Ephiphany Weekend at Chalkville Juvenile Detention Center on February 28 - March 2, 2008.  Ephiphany is a 72 hour short course in Christianity.  The girls that we will be ministering to are between the ages of 12 - 18, and are incarcerated for a multitude of crimes.  These girls and our team desperately need your prayers.

All I ask is that you sign up for a 30 minute time slot between the hours of 6:00 p.m. on Thursday February 28th all the way through 6:30 p.m. on Sunday March 2.  If you are willing to do this, please send me the names of the people that will be praying and the time (or times) that you designate to pray and I will add you to the prayer chain.  This chain will consist of your first name and last initial on a pastel sheet of paper that will be linked to the next person praying's name.   We will bring out this prayer chain in front of the girls on Saturday to show how they are loved and prayed for. We are hoping this chain will encompass the conference room.

Please ask other family members, church members, Sunday School members, and co-workers to help us.

All in His Name,
God Bless you and your family,
Jennifer
