Kathy also asked for prayers for her good friend, Laura Sneed, and her 6 week old baby who was born with serious neurological problems, with a poor prognosis for her future.

Family of Frank Jeffreys
Just talked with Kathy Donaldson.  She is requesting prayer for the family of a very good friend of theirs, Frank Jeffreys, who committed suicide yesterday.  Frank's son, Dwight, and David have been good friends "forever."  Frank had been taking medication following surgery, and they feel that medication probably caused the suicidal thoughts.
Thanks for your prayers!  In His love, Elaine

Sherry Belew
Sherry Belew will be having knee replace surgery tomorrow (Thursday) at ECM hospital in Florence.
Randy Burbank

UPDATE 03/27/2008
Sherry Belew's surgery went great this morning. She will be at ECM Hospital, Room 255 until Monday, and will then go to Glenwood Rehab Center for therapy.
Randy Burbank

UPDATE: 03/28/2008
Bonnie and I visited Sherry in the hospital Friday night. She had a head cold but was it good spirits. She had already walked down the
hall and back, which is utterly amazing to me. Monday, she is to transfer to Glenwood for 10 days of rehab. I suspect she will soon be dancing and praising the Lord! Praise the Lord!

Carla Corsslin
Please kick up your prayers a notch or two for Carla Crosslin of the Moulton Cluster. She had surgery Monday. They removed one breast, found cancer in several of her lymph nodes and numerous tumors were removed from her abdomen. If you'd like to send her a card, her address is 129 Woodland Terrace, Moulton, AL 35650. God bless you!

Susan,
It was great to see y'all the other night. We are sure going to miss our association with the Shoals cluster. Thought I would give you an update on Carla. She had a double mastectomy on Monday and came home on Thursday. The report was not very good. Cancer in both breasts and in 16 out of 17 lymph nodes. They also removed 2 (one 4cm, one 2cm) ovarian tumors from her abdomen, as well
as10 BB size ones. She will have to have a PET scan and brain scan before they start the chemo. Just pray that they turn out okay. Due to the 16 lymph nodes being malignant, the doctors are concerned. They told her the ovarian cancer was the least of her worries. They are concentrating on the breast. If the scans are clear, they will start her on chemo in about 4 weeks. She will take the same type of treatments that Vikki had, followed by 30 radiation treatments to the chest wall. She feels much better physically than she did after the hysterectomy but she is no fool to the pathology report and what she is facing. The cards y'all have sent have been a God send. She remarks about ! them every time I talk to her. She said her mailbox is full everyday!!!!!! I'll keep you posted on her progress but she needs some "big time" lifting up.
Love,
Lynn

Charles & Evelyn Stiefel
Please read the following request for prayers and cards for Charles & Evelyn Stiefel. Thanks!
Susan Cosby

Dear Friends,
We have a new couple in our church, Maria and Jeff Cole, who has some very close friends of 21 years that live in Colorado. This couple has five kids and two grandchildren. Charles (Chuck) is 45 and Evelyn is 43. Chuck had a brain tumor removed, but they have found another one that has fingers which grows even if removed. He continues to try and work to support his family. Let's get behind this family and send a card letting them know there are loving Christians in North Alabama who support them and are praying for them. Their address is Charles & Evelyn Stiefel, 7206 West 20th Street Lane, Greeley, CO 80634. Thanks, Sue Henry

Bonnie's sister, Zettie, and nephew, Daniel
Bonnie is asking for prayer for her sister, Zettie. She fell at work, hit her head and broke her wrist. When she came to, she had a large knot on her head and a severely broken wrist. She has had surgery on the wrist and has pins and bars holding everything in place.

Bonnie is also asking that everyone pray for her 12 year old nephew, Daniel. His liver is too small to carry out it's functions, and he is on the list for a transplant. Please pray that a doner will be located for him.

Kay Felton
Kay Felton is a member of the Franklin County Cluster. You may remember her from Walk 250, in which her husband, John Felton, was the Lay Director. I think she was the Humble Servant. They moved to Calera after retirement. Kay has been diagnosed with a form of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Here is her first reply after she returned from M. D. Anderson in Houston, TX. Vic

Hey Everyone, I'm doing O.K. but very tired from so many tests.  Thank you for you prayers and concern for John and me.  This journey to wellness has shown many large and small miracles because of your prayers and God's mercy.  We have decided to pursue treatment in Houston at M. D. Anderson.  We are to return to MDA on the 28th to get scheduled for treatment. Please continue to pray and pray.
Love to All, Kay

Several requests from Emily
What a week!

First and foremost, Larry Moore's mother died suddenly after a heart attack this afternoon. (Annette's mother in law) They are not telling the kids until tomorrow night, so please keep this under your hat. They don't need to find out at school tomorrow. Larry is in Huntsville, and Annette is packing up some clothes to meet him there. Please keep them in your prayers.

Second--My friend, Rene' Passarella Ciarametaro lost her baby yesterday. She was 19 weeks. She went into early labor and had the baby before they could stop it. They are devastated and shocked. Please pray for their whole family--Rene', Dan, Rene's sister Sonya, and grandparents Mary Beth and Tony.

Third--Keep Rhonda Dorin's brother in law in your prayers. He is having tests done on his liver in Memphis.

Thank you and God Bless You!!

Dru Gambrell
Dru Gambrell slipped and fell down the stairs just before the beginning of Walk #333. She only fell a few steps, but very clearly broke her ankle. Leasha Laster, Nurse Practitioner, was on hand and set her ankle with cardboard and duct tape for the journey to the hospital. According to the doctor at the local hospital, Leasha's action helped avoid serious nerve damage. Dru was taken on to ECM where she was to to have surgery Thursday morning, but at this time I do not have a report on how it went. Keep Dru in your prayers for her healing. Vic

Terrye Terry
I'd love to share the attached photo with all those who keep me in their prayers.  Yesterday was such a beautiful day!  Niece Julie and I were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine.  I think our smiles tell you what a wonderful time we had!  God is blessing us with so many precious times together.  (Some of you may remember Julie as the baby we used to bring to church with us.)  Thank you all for your continued prayers for me, Fred, and our family....Terrye TerryProject4

Please continue to pray for Jerry Stanley.  He continues to be in the CCU unit at ECM Hospital.  He was taken off the respirator yesterday but continues to be on oxygen and is not very responsive.  Dr.'s are still hoping for improvements.  Initial by-pass surgery was Feb. 20.  Please also pray for his wife, Monteen and his family. Thanks, Jan Caudill

William Murray
Our son William has pneumonia and has had it for 2 weeks. He is still very sick and does not seem to be making much progress. Please pray for his healing and also his children, who are passing a high fever virus around among each other. I ask that you also remember Jennifer, wife and mother, as she is trying to nurse all that are sick and also do lots of William's job at the church with the youth and the praise band.
