For those of you who know Gary and “Pete”, either in
Talladega or through Emmaus, I know they would
appreciate your prayers.
Carolyn
Please get a prayer chain going for Gary. His pneumonia is not improving. His doctor is trying to get him transferred to Birmingham. I am praying that they have a bed on the pulmonary floor at UAB.

faced with evil. Please pray for a hedge of
protection and safety for them. Please continue to
pray that God will remove this sinful influence from
these precious ones and that they will have a peace
in their lives once again. To God be the Glory. He
has answered so many of our prayers. We just praise
His Holy name. Thank you so much for your

LCF inmate seriously ill
05/30/08 23:14
This
prayer request is from Dick Cantrell - the Asst.
Chaplain at Limestone Prison. Could you please put it
on our prayer chain for me.
Deb Tuten
I am writing on behalf of an inmate here at LCF. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to give his name. He is 52 years old and has served three years of a 20 year sentence. He has been diagnosed by the medical personnel as having a serious illness. He has applied for a medical parole to be released back to his hometown. He is requesting prayer that this request be granted by the state. He has a home to go to and is not requesting assistance for his relocation.
Grace & Peace,
Dick Cantrell

Bobby Denton
05/29/08 21:45
Please
pray for George's uncle, Bobby Denton. You may have
read in the newspaper that he had surgery a few days
ago, then was rushed to UAB with blood clots. He
expected to leave the hospital to start rehab but an
MRI today showed that spinal fluid is leaking into
his brain. He will be having surgery ASAP to install
a shunt to drain the fluid.
Bobby's daughter, Julie McCreary, was at UAB but had to return home today because of the death of her father-in-law. Please keep Julie and her husband Philip in your prayers as well.
God bless you all,
Sandra & George Lair

Dear Prayer Warriors,
We received word last night that Annie, a 4 year old MK in Mexico, fell into a pot of boiling liquid and has burns to over 40% of her body. They were able to do surgery and clean up most of her burns. She is in stable condition in Mexico but is being taken by a Medivac helicopter to Shriners’ Hospital in Galveston, TX this afternoon. Pray for Greg and Missy, her parents, and her brothers during this difficult and scary time.
On another note, our group from FBC Russellville arrived safely this morning. Pray for God to move this week and for everyone to have a safe and blessed week. Thank you all for your faithful prayers.

My dad
was sent to the hospital this morning. He developed a
clot that plugged up the catheter and was bleeding.
The hospital returned him to the rehab, saying he had
a urinary tract infection, and should be okay with
antibiotics. Thank you again for all your prayers. I
know God hears, and it makes a difference! God's
grace to you all!

Emily Newman, one of our youth at Sheffield FUMC, left Sunday, May 18, 2008, on a 35 day mission trip to Ghana, Africa. She is VERY excited about being able to do this! I am asking everyone to put her on your prayer list for the next 35 days. She will participate in church building and children's Bible studies. Please pray that she would would see much fruit, of the kind that remains, and grow in her love and service for Christ. Thank-you, and God's grace to you all!

Scott,
I am copying your email to our Board and Cluster leaders.
May God be with Ella Kate and her entire family - Amen.

Carolyn:
My brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Shannon Anderson, have a daughter, Ella Kate, who is 2 1/2 weeks old. They received
a call today from their pediatritian. The doctor wants them to go take the child to Birmingham on Friday, May 16, to be tested for
cystic fibrosis. If you have any means by which to send out prayer requests, please send this one out. Please pray that Ella Kate
does not have this disease; however, if she does, that it will be a mild form of it and that it can be easily treated. Pray for peace
and understanding and the acceptance of God's will in this matter, whatever it may be, for Stan and Shannon and the family. Just the
realization that He is in control is always our comfort. Thanks.

Bob Murray
05/11/08 23:04
Bob
Murray got up this morning with numbness in his right
arm and hand. After about 6 hours it was still
that way. Betsy has him at the hospital in
Cullman (where Bob's doctors practice). They
have taken him right into an examination room upon
his arrival at the ER. Please pray for Bob's
recovery and his doctor's wisdom in his treatment.
Martha Miller
UPDATE:
Thanks to all for your prayers and thanks be to God. The doctor at Cullman thinks that bob's numbness was due to a pinched nerve in his neck and not a stroke. Bob will see his heart doctor in Cullman on Monday. We are so thankful to have this prayer chain and know that their are people out there that care and lift us up in prayer no matter the distance
Come see us soon
Blessings

Bonnie's
8 year old granddaughter, Morgan Young, has the MRSA
staff infection on her bottom. Because this type of
thing has been fatal in some cases, we are asking for
prayer for Morgan, and for those who treat and care
for her. If she is not better by Friday, doctors plan
to do surgery. The picture is of Morgan at Diebert
Park a few weeks ago.
God's grace to you all!
