Les and Linda

I work with a lady here in Haleyville whose husband
was in a headon collision last Thursday. He was
air-lifted to Huntsville Hospital and is in serious
condition in the Surgical ICU there. She, of course,
will not leave the hospital.
They have been told that he is facing at least a year’s recovery time. His left leg was mangled, the kneecap crushed, and the thigh bone splintered. He has a broken pelvis, multiple broken ribs, and had a concussion. Linda is our receptionist and Les works for a sawmill here in town.

Rev. Asa Boozer, retired UMC minister and DS, lives
in Decatur, AL. He has recently been diagnosed with a
malignant brain tumor, inoperable. His wife is Jane.
He is an awesome personality, Christ's Disciple, a
Christian Warrior. He has been one of the visiting
ministers for 1st UMC, Decatur until recently. He
prayed with my mother weekly for the last 4 to 5
years. He conducted Mother's Praise and Graduation
Service. We love him so much and we expect a miracle.
Please add him and his family to your prayers.

Andrew and Juliana Jernigan

Dear Prayer Partners,
Andrew Jernigan was on the last men's Walk I worked. He was preparing to go with his wife Julianna as medical missionaries to Ghana, West Africa (what a way to start a missionary career!). I get their newsletter and keep them on my prayer list.
This is a special request they have made, and I feel the need to share this with all of you. Please take time to read the note below, and take this need to the Lord, asking for His grace to prevail in a way that brings much honor to Him!
May His grace be multiplied to you all!
Vic
PS: Andrew, be sure to let us know what happens!

During this past week we have had a GREAT time of ministry with over 500 patients seen in the clinic and hosted a 12 village invitational soccer tournament. It was a fun time for hundreds of adults and kids that came, yet cut short due to fights that broke out between our village (Amakom) and the neighboring village (Agyemem). It was far from peaceful and to the disappointment of many of the winning teams, the tournament was suspended after the first day due to the severity of the fighting.
We ask for your prayers on Tuesday at 11:00am (Central Standard Time zone) when the chiefs of these two villages, elders and assemblymen will meet with local area pastors and church leaders (Church of Pentecost, Methodist, Catholic, and Apostolic Church) in order to bring reconciliation.
The fighting and unrest between these two villages on our doorstep has gone on for years and this time, during a great week of ministry it has brought it to their attention that something must be done.
Pray for peace and that the love of Jesus will transform these men and youth to turn to Him and love each other, follow Jesus and seek peace.
Grateful for your support and advocacy!
