Bill Jenkins
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January 2005. Your prayers have kept me relatively symptom free for almost 4 years. Now the disease has invaded my adrenal gland. I will be entering the hospital on November 4 for an intensive round of chemo called Interleukin II. It will make me very sick and uncomfortable but has a chance of achieving complete remission. I ask for and thank you for your continued prayers.

Lois "Dottie" Myrick
Dear Prayer Warriors,
Some people are blessed with two mothers in their lives.  I am so blessed.  My aunt, Lois "Dottie" Myrick, is like a mother to me.  She is in CCU at ECM after experiencing some heart rhythm problems yesterday.  Please pray for her.  She is stable now, and her doctor is unsure if the problem was caused by a medication she takes, or if the problem is actually with the electrical functioning of her heart.  She'll be in the hospital for a few days while they monitor her.  She may need a pacemaker.  My mother and my aunt live together and help each other tremendously.  My mother has Parkinson's disease and my aunt being in the hospital is difficult for her.   So, lift her in prayer too!

Thanks for your prayers.  I greatly appreciate them!

Please pray for Debbie Tuten's brother, Sammie Smith. He is in ECM having some tests ran on his heart. May have to have a stint put in. He has one artery that has 100% blockage and another with 70% blockage.  He is scheduled for bypass surgery for Wednesday morning. Bonnie
UPDATE: 11/07/2008
I just want to thank everyone for your prayers for my brother (Sammie Smith).  His bypass surgery went very well and he is now home.  Please continue to continue to keep him in your prayers during his recovery.

Kinley Mcgee
10/10/08

This a prayer request for a little girl named Kinley Mcgee. My wife works at Valley Eye in Florence and this little girl came in yesterday with a lot of eye problems and was sent for an MRI and they found a brain tumor that is inoperable and they are giving her only a week too live. She is nine years old and we do not know the family personally but Sara was working with the little girl yesterday during her screening and was pretty upset about it and ask me to send an email out to everyone asking for prayers. So everyone just take a minute and lift this little girl up in prayer during this trying time for this family and little girl. Thanks,

Then this is what I received from Lexington FBC:

Please pray for Kinley McGee.  This is April (Davis) McGee's daughter. Liz Davis is the grandmother, all from Lexington. She is 9 yrs. old, and today they were told that she has a brain tumor.  They have rushed her to Birmingham this afternoon with hopes of better news than they gave them in Florence.  In Florence the doctors gave her 24 hours to live.  Please pray that they were wrong.  The eye doctor is the one who discovered the tumor.  The 1st diagnosis that was given this morning was with one week to live.  They said that the tumor is in the shape of a star with several points going in several different directions in the brain, which make it inoperable.  Later on, another doctor said 24 hours. Keep this family in your prayers, and her friends at school,

Lillian
please put Lillian on our Church prayer list. She could die from cholera. She has already lost a sister-in-law. I cannot imagine what her children would do without her (or Me). Lillian to me is as close to being Christ-like as any person I have ever known to live under the circumstances she does. She has the faith of a mustard seed and loves the Lord with all her heart. Here is her note. Jean Burns

Madeline Mitchell
My step-granddaughter from a previous marriage, Madeline Mitchell, was involved in a terrible car wreck, Friday, September 26. She and her boyfriend, Joe, were in the car together and swerved to miss a deer. Both of them were airlifted to UAB. You can read more about her in the blog set up for that at http://www.howsmaddie.blogspot.com/. Please remember her and her family (brother Caleb, and parents John and Suzanne) as they face this difficult time. May God's grace and mercy be multiplied to you all! Vic

UPDATE: "Maddie" has made an amazing recovery, and is now home resting. Praise God! A special thank-you to everyone that prayed for her. God is so good!
