Gargis
05/31/09 18:32
Dear
Prayer Warriors:
We covet your prayers for Kelly, daughter of our dear friends, Sam & and Mary Catherine Gargis. Plans are for Kelly to have bilateral prophylactic mastectomy surgery 6-16-09, at Baptist Hosp., Nashville, early morning. We pray no cells are found in the lymph nodes. She will also have reconstructive surgery right after the breast surgery. She has an aggressive type of cancer. She feels she is in God's perfect will; however, she is anxious about the surgery. She is a young mother of three. Her husband is Alan Voss. Thank you for adding Kelly and her family to your prayers. To God Be the Glory. Dru

Michael Thompson

Michael
Thompson, son of Lyda and Jeff, received a terrible
report from Children's Hospital on Tuesday. He
has been battling Lupus but now it has been
discovered that he has two kidney diseases and
another tissue disease that is causing tissue to grow
on organs internally. He will need to begin two
different chemos, one two-days a month and one one
day a month for six months. Please pray to our
dear Lord for a miracle for this young man. In
spite of knowing all this, he has a wonderful
attitude and you wouldn't know that he was this sick.
Please also pray for his family that they may
stay close to the Lord in the days ahead.
Thank you and may God's blessings be on all of you.

Please
pray for Barry Pace who retired from NWSCC as
basket ball coach. He was having some problems and
his wife carried him to ECM and they thought it was
an aneurysm…ECM transported him to UAB but they
are not
saying exactly what is going on. He had surgery to
relieve the pressure in his brain and has a tube for
drainage and is in a coma.

Benjamin and Maria Murray lost the baby

Rebecca Buttram
05/09/09 23:27
My
89 year old mother, Rebecca Buttram, had cyst removed
from her leg two weeks ago. We found out today
that it is a rare, fast growing skin cancer.
Often the skin isn't the primary site. Pray for
her that the skin is the only site and it can be
easily taken care of. Pray that we will have
peace about whatever treatment is
recommended...........and God will completely heal
and be glorified through the
healing.
Thank you,
Mary Young

Please
pray for our son,Benjamin and his wife
Maria. They are on a roller coaster ride
of emotions Maria is pregnant but every
other day she has to go and have blood work done to
see if she is going to lose the baby. One day the
numbers go up and we are all happy. The next
blood work is not good the next visit.
this has been going on for 3 weeks. they
had a bad report this afternoon after getting what we
thought was a good report this morning. Maria
and Benjamin lost a baby in January so this is very
scary for them. We would appreciate your
prayers.

Caroling Witsieppe-
Parents are Wes and Kara Witsiepe-Wes Witsieppe
formerly attended Vestavia First United Methodist
Church-Mother is Libby Edgar-Sister is Carol Edgar-
The baby was born Monday, May 4 at 5 lbs 9 oz in
Mobile where her parents reside, with complications
such as having a bowel movement before she was
delivered, the cord was wrapped around her neck, and
then there was at least a few more serious
complications-she was a term baby-the mother was very
small in statue which may justify the low birth
weight- when she was born-she had a 50/50 chance of
survival and was on a ventilator-she is now at 70/30
and is off of the ventilator as of this morning-

Jean Wright Burns Prayer Requests
05/06/09 21:32
Please
pray for my precious Daddy. We found out yesterday
that he has early signs of Alzheimer. I am really
close to my Dad and I am having a hard time to let go
when the time comes.
My mother and father -in laws are in real bad shape. Please pray for them.
My nephew is in school in Tuscaloosa and we have found out that all the money sent to him was for him to buy drugs. He told me today that he did not like me anymore. I had rather been hit with a ton of bricks.
I know it is his drugs talking and I will have to deal with this.
