Andrew and Julianna Jernigan Update
03/22/07 20:12
Were
you praying for the peace between our village, Amakom
and the village of Agyamem? The leaders met
last month as we had emailed you about and at this
point there is peace. Continue standing with us
for stability in our area. Thank you for
praying.

Heather Burfield surgery
03/14/07 07:45
Please
remember our daughter, Heather, tomorrow as she has
another surgery
and her 2nd treatment with the new medicine.
She will probably have to be at Children's Hospital at 9:30 or 10:00 am
for surgery around 12:00.
Please pray that the new meds will greatly slow the growths and spread the
surgeries farther apart.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
Love to you all,
Sandra and Dennis Burfield

Eric Lauridsen
03/07/07 19:15
From
Nancy Lindsey:
Eric Lauridsen is a member of my church (KillenUMC). Eric has been battling cancer on and off for years. He and his family (he has 3 children - all still in school) have been an inspiration and a blessing to all of us. This is the latest e-mail from Eric's wife, Anna...............
I figured it was time to update everyone on Eric's condition.
His condition has started to deteriorate at a faster pace in the last few weeks. The initial onset of paralysis was very quick. Within weeks he was paralyzed and confined to bed. Things then seemed to stabilize, he was paralyzed, but was still wanting to come to the den and was doing ok, however in the last month things have been getting worse. At first, he started to withdraw and want to be alone and did not want to leave the bedroom. The last few weeks, he has been sleeping all the time and last week he had some fever related seizures. The biggest issue we are now dealing with is his difficulty swallowing. The tumor that was on his cervical spine, seems to be growing and causing his neck to be misshapen. The Hospice nurses
are noticing a decrease in his strength, and though they cannot predict when, they seem to feel that he may not have much longer with us. His speech is also starting to be affected and he is becoming somewhat incoherent at times.

William Gardiner
03/06/07 21:55
Jimmy
Gardiner's brother, William, suffered a massive heart
attack early Friday morning. Fortunately, he was at
his mother's home, and she called 911. He was sent
from Keller immediately to ECM. There was 100%
blockage in at least two arteries. They were able to
stint one artery within minutes, and have been
working to stablize his heaart rate and blood
pressure in CCU ever since. The doctor has said
his condition is hour by hour, rather than day by
day. William was 48 yesterday. The family would very
much appreciate your prayers.

UPDATE
i wanted to update everyone on william---he had a good night of rest last night in which his blood pressure improved a good bit----- this morning they have removed the pump that was aiding his heart and the nurse has reported that "he is holding his own " -- this is a big day for william-- if he can manage through today his chance of survival will improve greatly--- no matter his outcome(which i believe to be a good one ), his salvation is sure and he and our family have seen the Lord in a mighty way---- our faith has been increased through this trial . the people have shown our savior to us in their faces and the prayers have been too many to count----this , i believe, is the reason william has done as well as he has after such a terrible attack----please pass on our gratefulness to everyone and ask for their continued prayers as today is a big day !! jimmy Gardiner

Heather Burfield
03/01/07 19:16
Heather is
scheduled for another surgery and injection of the
new medicine on March 14. This will be the second
injection of at least 4. Dr. Waitrak is hopeful that
this new treatment will greatly slow the growth of
the papilloma, and this will put more time between
surgeries.
Please pray that this works. Heather has
had more than 100 surgeries for this.
God is good all
the time, and all the time God is good!
Thank you for
all your prayers.
