Announcements

P. Mike announced the duck got "skunked" last week. $60 was raised at the bowl w/duck meeting last week.
Ron McMahon passed around a news clipping about a duck race being held in Venice, FL. Ron reminded members that the next blood drive will be held May 1st. We have donated over 900 pints of blood since 1997! Way to go Rotarians.
Paige announced that the Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for this year's award to be presented at their annual dinner in May. Past recipients were Charles Parrish and Carl Kirstein. Please see Paige for nomination forms.

Finemaster

Finemaster Bill fined the back table for being too noisey, Rose for a cell phone call and Paige for Chamber announcement.

Program - Club Assembly

Club Fellowship events (see above) were announced.
Duck Sales are up to 3700! 9:15 - Registration begins & those working in the pool area can arrive. All members should be at the YMCA at 10 to help out on Race Day. Labeling Party is Wednesday night 6 pm at Loyle Lanes.

Ken reported on Membership. Surveys will be distributed, exit interviews will be conducted, new members will meet with the committee for their suggestions and comments. Any ideas and input for this committee, please email Ken. ken@donderojewelry.com

Bonnie distributed budget information. She thanked Jay Parks for preparing CD for the Katrina Mission Project. Bonnie will make presentation at Conference in Hershey, PA in June. Bonnie thanked Mary Lou and Henry for promptly paying their bills.

Carol Captis reported on Club Administration. She is enjoying her position and has been promoting Rotary events on the local radio station.

Dave Schad distributed the Rotary Charities Budget information. Our club has 2 separate corporations. One for our operating budget, one for foundation.

Marty Hoag reported on the International Committee. They are currently collecting sneakers. If you have any to donate, please bring them to the next meeting.

Public Relations, Linda Foster, reported that news releases on our events are sent to local papers. If your committee is working on a project, please get Linda the information. New member, Melanie, has joined the committee. Newsletter writers are needed.

Abbey Bradway reported on the GSE France team that will arrive in our area May 30th. 5 Host families are needed for 4 night stay in our area. A dinner with the team will be held at the Ramada, Thursday, May 31st. Saturday is an open day with the team. Ideas are welcome. Please see Abbey for additional information. Please step forward and volunteer as a host. It is a wonderful experience!

Tim Jacobsen announced the link is now on our web site for scholarships. Deadline to apply is April 30th.
