Program
PE Betsy, introduced our Foundation Chair, Alan Dickenson who gave us some background information on the Rotary International Foundation. As of August, 2007, there are 1,068,741 Paul Harris Fellows. To date, Vineland Rotary has 255+ PHF. He asked members that were PHF or Sustaining Members to stand and be recognized.
Our Treasurer, Bonnie, spoke about the billing process. To be a Sustaining Member, she will bill members $25 - $100 on the Quarterly Statement. Alan then sends the donated money to Chicago. Bonnie keeps record of what you contribute and Alan keeps a record of the Credits given by the RI Foundation.
Ron Pierson spoke about how all our money enables Rotary International to carry out their programs. You can afford to be a part of the RI Foundation for a very small committment.
Ed Duffy gave two examples of how Rotarians have utilized the Foundation contributions with matching grants, volunteer services grants and the National Immunization Day Program.
Charles Loyle lead a round of "Enjoy Yourself" in memory of longtime Rotarian, CC Carnegie.
Charles then presented Jay Einstein and Norm Neill with their Paul Harris Fellow certificates.
