Flag Salute & Prayer


Marty led our singing, Flag Salute and the 4-Way Test. Paster Dan gave the blessing. Please keep Abbey, Ed Bernhardt, Shaye Kotok and Ed Duffy's mother in your prayers.

Paster Dan read a note to the club from Shaye. She has been diagnosed with a serious illness. All our love and prayers go out to Shaye in this time of need.

Norm Neill thanked the membership for their support at his induction ceremony held last week at Cumberland County College. Congratulations Norm!

Bonnie reported we sold 140+ wreath.

Shirley Burke announced the Tiny Tim Caroling to be held Tuesday night, Dec. 11th. We will meet at 6:00 PM at Cottonwood Drive and walk in the Franklin Heights areas to the Fosters. Shirley will be co-hosting the event with the Fosters. Post Caroling Fellowship will be held at the Fosters. Cans will be on the tables the next 2 weeks. Please help support this wonderful local event.

Ted expects a good turnout at the wine tasting December 7th. He has tickets available. Make sure all your guests have a "numbered" ticket.

Bill Jannerone has tickets to help support a 4 yr. old from St. Isadore's who was diagnosed with brain cancer. Pasta dinner will be held Dec. 9th at 12 pm. $10/adults, $6/child Call Robin 696-0506 to find out more information on how to help this family.

Ron B. announced we will be hosting 5 GSE members from Hungary in April. More information will follow. If you would like to host a member of the team or find out more information, please speak to Ron. The Fosters and Loyle's have already volunteered to host.

Gerry spoke about membership today. He encouraged members to help get our new members involved. Prior to joining, make sure they attend several meetings to "Get to Know Rotary" and their expectations for membership.
Gerry recently attended a birthday party for Bob Swanson and presented him with an "original" gift - gift cert. from LaTorre Hardware! Only Gerry!

P. Bill presented our servers Becky and Norma with a Christmas gift from our club. We really appreciate the wonderful service. Thank you Becky & Norma!

Finemaster

Bill fined Dan Leslie for his "Happy News". Daughter Laura gave birth to his first grandaughter, Anabelle Jennifer, 8 lbs. 13 oz. Jay Parks also had "Happy News" 1st grandchild, John Matthew 7 1/2 lbs. He had some complications but is now home and doing fine. ed D. paid $5 for Norm's award, Tom "John" Barber paid $5 for a photo and $2 for 2 names, Bob Swanson paid a "Welcome" fine of $5, Ken $2 for cell phone use.

Program

Charles Loyle inducted Shirley Burke in to the Vineland Rotary Club. Sponsor, Besty Frank presented Shirley with the "Rotary Pin". Shirley has become a very active new member, co-chairing the Tiny TIm Caroling night.

New Member, Joe Stelweck, gave his classification talk. Joe spent many years working as a Financial Advisor. About 75% of his clients were 62+ yrs. old. He enjoyed working with the seniors very much and decided to begin a new career working for Wells Fargo with reversed mortgages where he could provide a very much needed service to seniors. Joe explained the workings of reverse mortgages.
Joe lives in Marlton and has a son age 20 who is attending the Art Institute in Philadelphia and a daughter age 22. His uncle told him about Rotary. Joe is enjoying being a member of the Vineland Rotary Club.
