Today’s Program
Today's program featured Ron Sotak talking about the Greater Cumberland County United Way. The current organization was formed in the 1990’s by combining the United Way agencies of Vineland, Millville and Bridgeton. This made a more efficient and effective agency. The United Way can direct payroll deductions to each of 18 local non-profit agencies. The Red Cross, for example, provided temporary relief to approximately 300 house fire victims of 62 house fires in the county last year. Dogs are available for hearing impaired. A new telephone non-emergency help line “2-1-1” provides directions for those needing help, direction to agencies and volunteering suggestions. The United Way is looking for Board members and citizen volunteers.
50/50
Bonnie Laube took the cash winnings today. LouAnn won the basket from Paris.
