Today’s Program
Bill Dudley introduced Alan Dickerson who gave an informative and humorous presentation on the Rotary Foundation. Reporter interviewed Paul Harris concerning his life and work of the Foundation. Rotarians number over 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. When asked why he came to the Vineland club, Paul said Vineland is a microcosm of races, professions and cultures and the club is one of the most active in the region. The concept of Sustaining Member and Benefactor was discussed. The Sustaining Member program provides an easy way to make regular contributions to become a Paul Harris Fellow. A benefactor marks a portion of his or her estate for use by the Rotary Foundation. In the past 75 years, Vineland Rotarians have donated $249,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Excellent job by Charlie Loyle, Alan and Dan “Mr. Paul Harris” Leslie.
