GSM Phone unlocking

It took few minutes and a nominal fee at a Nokia Service center in Bangalore to unlock the network lock put by AT&T wireless. For some reason they don't want consumers to use the phones they sell with other providers.

By inserting a HUTCH SIM card my Nokia 6200 was up and running. SMS anywhere in india is just 30 paise and international SMS is Rs 3, though voice calls look expensive Rs 3 per minute!
