News from observatory committee....
The building plans are now completed and will be submitted to Nottingham
township this month. The building plans were changed slightly from
the original concept, but the building will still contain three wings as
in the original concept drawing.
(The new building plan image will be posted on this page shortly).
The project manager Ed Moss continues to
evaluate the 16-inch Autoscope, which will serve as the observatories
permanent reflector. Currently, he believes that the scope will
need to be mounted on an new equatorial mount, instead of the original
fork mount. For more information on the Autoscope

The committee continues to work on acquiring the additional major
funding required for the construction of the building, and equipment
required to run the observatory. If you are interested in making a
contribution to the observatory, please contact
John Holtz.
