The AAAP has recently acquired a used school planetarium projector and dome. This will be a great educational tool for Proposed South Hills Observatory. People attending a starparty might see a short basic planetarium program on the night sky, and then step directly outside and look up (or through a telescope) and see what was just shown to them inside! This will be especially useful on cloudy nights. The planetarium is an 'Apollo' model from Viewlex Planetariums Inc, and comes with a 10 ft dome and multiple automated programs and accessories Thanks to David L Smith Photography for the images.
