Art Sites: www.graffiti.org/osgemeos www.graffiti-art.com/phonodrome/osgemeos Two websites with artwork, info, and interviews of Os Gemeos, twin brothers from Brazil who do amazing graffiti art. www.joesorren.com Readers of Warp or various snowboarding magazines may be familiar with Joe Sorren's distorted and malformed characters. www.johncopeland.com Not sure how I found this site, but his artwork is a nice mess. His sketchbooks are inspiring. www.juicedesign.com An SF-based design group and gallery/exhibition hall. They have a few online exhibitions featuring some skate-related guys - Bryce Kanights, Tommy Guerrero, GiantOne, and Vic Blue (another NC native).
Design Sites: www.designiskinky.net This one's a given since almost every design-oriented site has it as a link. It's a good resource for other design sites and has the cool Mugshot collection. www.h73.com Holodeck73 is pretty much another given. Actually, you can probably find links to any other design sites that I'd put up on Holodeck 73 or Design Is Kinky. www.sinnzeug.de A "search engine" for design-oriented sites. www.destroyrockcity.com This could also be considered an art site. Lee Misenheimer does some good art and design work. Some of his handiwork can be seen on the Dreamworks site. This guy also has a connection with my home state, North Carolina. www.turux.org An interesting site but hard to describe. Easier for you to go there yourself and click around.
Skating Sites: www.sk8tc.com Balance sk8tc is a zine based out of Pennsylvania. Mainly concentrating on the east coast with occasional west coast road trips. Balance also has a travel service - their next trip will be a tour of Oregon parks. www.negativeion.com A site done by HTML scientist Jerry Hahn. There's some good photos and video footage of the Hangar Halloween Jam, Skatopia, Utopia Skatepark, and more. He also has a skatepark list of east coast parks. www.bigbrothermagazine.com I'm not sure how these guys manage to make a monthly magazine, much less a website and now, some of them managed to be involved in MTV's Jackass. The e-movies section of their website is some sick stuff. www.grindline.com They build good parks - get your city to hire them. Here are some obvious skate sites: www.thrashermagazine.com www.antix.com
