| Here are a few pictures from the new Seattle Center Skatepark. It's been a while since they started talking about making it. There's also been many changes in the proposed design of the park. It started off as a pretty gnarly bigger design that was done by the West Seattle guys. Of course, that plan gets shot down because the city was worried about the park being accessible for all levels of skaters. Next, they have someone who doesn't skateboard make a smaller not-so-good design. Finally, someone gets smart and gets rid of the smaller design, contacts Eric Dawkins (who skates and builds parks) and now we have a park that is a mixture of small and big (or at least bigger). It's definitely one of the best parks in this area. -BD |
