It looks like the parks in Washington are stepping it up a notch recently. Sumner is the first of a few parks in Washington that are being done by some of the West Seattle Bowl crew.
It's not officially open as of yet, but looks to be a welcomed improvement to the parks that exist near the Seattle area. When I went, the park still needed to have the decks and 'street' area finished. The street area is more like a big bowl with walls from 3 to 6 ft. tall with maybe two pyramids put in there.
The main bowl was pretty much done and we took a few runs. On one end of the bowl is a square-ish section that's about 8 ft. tall. Hips on both sides of that bowl leads to the middle section of the bowl, which is about 6 ft. The other end's about 7-8 ft. tall.
The park is supposed to be open sometime in August, so maybe it'll be completely done in a few weeks. |
