Christopher Repine -- Estate Book ?, pg. 687 "1849"#1007 Christopher Repine Indiana County Be it Remembered that on the twenty first day of November A.D. 1849 thousand eight hundred and forty nine __"__. Letters of administration in common form were granted to William B. Donahey of Blacklick township Indiana County. Upon the Estate of Chritopher Repine late of Blacklick township Decd. (Mrs. Mary Ann Repine widow of said Deceased having renounced her right to administer upon said Estate) He the said William B. Donahey administrator as aforesaid having given bond to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the sum of Four hundred dollars lawful money to be paid to said Commonwealth upon condition that he the said William B. Donalhey administrators as aforesaid do make or cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of the goods & chattels rights & credits of said Decd. and file the same in the Registers office at Indiana in & for the County of Indiana within thirty days from the date hereof __"__ and also that he make a just and perfect account of his said administration Upon the Estate of said Decd. & settle the same in the Registers office aforesaid on or Before the ___ day of November AD 1850 With Charles Gompers & Isaac Empfield of the Borough of Indiana as security. Order to Sell The Petition of Wm. B. Donahey administrator of Christopher Repine late of Blacklick township in said County Decd. in all humble manner there of. That the said Christopher Repine died intestate leaving a widow named Mary Ann and issue three children viz all minors under the age of twenty one years that the said Christopher Repine died Seized in his ?demesne? as of fee and in and to sixteen acres of land be the same more or less situated in said Township of Blacklick adjoining land of George Repine & Charles Campbell with a frame house & frame stable theeon erected with fourteen acres of land cleard and under fence. That the personal Estae of said decedent is insuficient for the payment of his debts as manifastly appears by the inventory & concionable appraisment of the goods and chattels & effects of said decd. together with a correct and full Statement under both of all the debts of said decd. so far as the same have come to his knowledge exhibited with and annexed to this petition, your petitioner having given bond with approved security for the faithful appropiation of the proceeds of Sale humbly prays your honors to grant him an order for the sale of said Estate or such part thereof as your honors may deem sufficient for the payment of the debts of said decd. and he will pray. Wm. B. Donahey Order issued: And now to wit September 23rd AD 1850 upon due consideration had of the premises the Court Authorise and direst the sale of the property in the foregoing petition mentioned. Sale to take place on the premises on the first Fuesday of December next. Terms one half cash on confirmation and the Balance in one year with interest secured by bond and Mortgage. By the Court To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphan's Court of Indiana The undersigned admr. of Christopher Repine decd. respectfully reports that in pursuance of the foregoing order ?tended? on the first Tuesday (3rd day) of December 1850 Express to sale on the premises by public vendue and out cry the Real Estate in said order mentioned and directed to be sold having first given due legal and timely notice of the time and place of sale accordingaccording to law and the directions of said and then and there sold the same to John Speirs for the sum of two hundred and Eighty five dollars he being the highest and best bidder and that the highest and best price bidder for the same which sale so as aforesaid made he prays may be confirmed by the Court and he will pray. William B. Donahey And now to wit December 23rd AD 1850 upon due consideration had of the premises the Court confirs the sale and order and direct said order to make a deed to the purchase upon the compliance of the terms of sale -- and that the premises so sold be and remain to the said John Speirs his heirs and assigns firm and sable forever.
