In the name of God Amen I Elias
Doan of Big Grove Township in the County of Benton and State of Iowa of the age of Sixty
Six years being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last Will
and Testament in manner following that is to say -
First - I give and bequeath to my wife Catherine Doan all of the property and effects of which I may die seized both Real and personal after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses and expenses of Administration of my Estate.
Second - I give and bequeath to my children hereinafter named all of my property both Real and personal share and share alike to be paid to them by my administrator as soon as my property can be convenient converted into cash after the death of my wife Catherine Doan. And should any of my children hereinafter named die leaving children I direct that their said children shall take the share that their parents would have taken had he or she outlived their said children. And should any of my said children die without issue then it is my Will that the survivors of my said children shall take the share of such deceased child share and share alike.
Third - I direct that my Administrator shall sell off enough of my property in the manner provided by law to pay all my debts funeral expenses and expenses of administration and no more during the lifetime of my said wife Catherine Doan. And then after her death to sell off everything and divide the proceeds after payment of expenses between my children. Ephriam Doan, Albin H. Doan, Thomas C. Doan, James F. Doan, Henry C. Doan, Florence A. Doan, Frances M. Doan, William W. Doan, and Idella Doan, share and share alike as stated in the second paragraph hereof.
In witness where of I have hereunto signed my name to this instrument as and for my last will and testament this 26th day of June 1880, hereby resolving all former Wills by me made at anytime.

The above instrument consisting of two sheets was at the date thereof signed declared by said Elias Doan as and for his Last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto this 26th day of June 1880.

State of Iowa}
Benton County} as I, A. Thompson, Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on this day of the December Term AD 1880 the Will and instrument in writing hereto ? ? and attesting unto on the 26th day of June 1880 was duly provided before and abided by said Court as and for the Last Will and Testament of the Real and personal Estate of Elias Doan last of said County dec'd and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such Will and Testament.
Inscription hereof I have hereunto set my had and affixed the seal of said Court at my office in Vinton in said County this 10th day of Dec AD 1880.
