Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair

Food Regulations

INSURANCE:

Each group selling food must be prepared to send into Vancouver for Peace a proof of their insurance before they will be assigned a space.

HEALTH DISTRICT:

Each group must go to the Health District at least 2 weeks in advance to fill out some paper work and obtain a temporary permit.

Cost of permits is $77 to for-profits, $51 for non-profits with non-profit number in hand.

1 or 2 people need food handler's permit. This requires $10 and about an hour at Health District

Need hand washing station in each space.

For a non-profit to sell non-hazardous items (pre-packaged anything, coffee, tea, whole fruit, etc) there is no charge, but they must have done paper work at the Health Dept to that effect.

FIRE MARSHALL:

Each group applies for their own permit at least 10 days in advance, and it is free. Download Permit Guidelines PDF.
