Philosophy—
The Saint John Vianney
CYO Basketball mission is to develop the spiritual, physical and emotional
aspects of the total person through good role modeling, teamwork and
sportsmanship. There will be no promise how much playing time each person will
receive and playing time will not be equal. While we will compete with a
philosophy to be successful and win as many games as possible, it is just as
important or even more that the players develop their skills and have fun. We
strongly believe in a Team concept. A player should be in good mental and
physical health and playing should not place that player at unreasonable risk of
injury. |
Code
of Conduct—
We expect our coaches, players,
parents, family members and spectators to show respect toward officials, all
players and coaches, opponent fans and the facilities in which we practice and
play. |

Our CYO basketball program will adhere to all policies detailed in the
St. John Vianney Parish Family Handbook for Religious Education and Youth
Ministry.
