RE: Authentic Signature's of ANNA ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

In the year 1955, a residing officer (Mrs. Lucille Clifford) of the North Bonneville, WA., P.T.A. (Parents, Teachers, Association) wrote to Mrs. Roosevelt requesting an autograph that coluld be auctioned to help bolster the P.T.A. funds. My mother, Bonnie Belle (Robertson) Goodrich, being a distance relative of the Roosevelt's had the winning bid of ($3.00 or $4.00) for her autograph. It has been passed down to me.

NOTE: There are actually two signature's; one on the envelope (Anna Eleanor Roosevelt) and her signature on the letter (Eleanor Roosevelt). The back of the envelope has her New York address: Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, 211 East 62nd Street, New York 21, N.Y., while the letter was actually mailed from Knoxville, TN. The letter is post-marked, Feb 18, 5 PM, 1955.
