Here is what the intake "El" and rubber boost tube look like in stock, pre-intercooler form.
You may also notice I have mounted a temperature sensor, AKA a thermocouple, in the stock, cast-iron
donwpipe to measure post-turbine exhaust gas tempreature.
A pyrometer, which can be installed to measure either pre- or post-turbine exhaust gas temperatures,
is a very important aid for tuning a high performance diesel motor.

Pictured from the driver's side, the intake "El" has been rotated 180 degrees and now points away from the compressor outlet.
This allows boost tubes to be routed from the intercooler around the driver's side of the cylinder head, although there is still
an interference problem here with the stock routing of the turbo oil supply line.

The routing of the turbo oil supply line has been modified to allow routing of the boost tubes.

The intercooler to intake manifold boost tube is ready for welding (notice the red tape),
but this picture shows how I am going to route it.
